Technician Class FCC Amateur License.
This program will not only help the
students practice and study for the test,
but they will learn different science,
technology, engineering, and math skills
along the way through hands on
projects and discussions. We will be
meeting every Tuesday night from 3:30
p.m. – 5:30 p.m. with wrapping up the
18 weeks with a sanctioned testing
session. As of this moment, there is
no cost for this program. We will be
working together and brainstorming on
various ideas for fundraisers to cover
the cost of materials (book), testing
fees, and getting the student their first
handheld radio. If you would like to
find out more about this program, we
will be conducting two 15-20 minute
presentations during the Jr./Sr. High
School open house in the high school
auditorium (August 22, 2016 one
at 5:30 p.m. and one at 6:00 p.m.).
Please come and bring your kids to
learn more about this great
opportunity. If you would like to hear
more about this program, but cannot
make the overview presentation, please
contact the Technology office at 330-
872-0294 or send an e-mail to Mr.
Donley at
.

August is upon us, then it is only a
short couple of weeks until the teachers
arrive for the 2016 – 2017 school year,
next is “Open House”, and finally the
first day of school. That is the case if
you are not playing a fall sport or you
are not in the marching band, etc.
August is only the official beginning of
what seems to be a summer filled with
lifting, numerous sporting activities, and
a great number of hours trying to
prepare for the upcoming season. In
either case, school is right around the
corner and that 6:30 am alarm clock will
once again become part of your daily
routine.
To begin the summer newsletter, we
want to welcome Mr. Rankin to the staff
of the school district. Mr. Rankin has
been with us for a number of years
coaching and substitute teaching,
covering study halls, etc., but now he is
officially one of the full time teaching
staff in Physical Education and Health.
Also we want to highlight that the
High School was very honored last year
to receive an extremely prestigious
award. We were recognized as a Bronze
