Print Jobs Going to Suspend Mode

We had an issue with the HS Copier when we created the new print queue over the network.   When the jobs were sent to the copier to print, they would automatically go into “suspend” mode, and you had to click a button on the copier.   It was requesting that the paper be changed.

I had to call this into Cosby Mook to find out what the problem could be since it was happening on only the HS Copier.   All other copiers were working just fine and printing out jobs from the network.

What had happen was, when the queue was created, it set the default paper as thick instead of plain.   This was the only copy machine on the nework that did that; however, now I have how to fix the issue.

There are 2 places where this needs to be checked on the prinit queue.   First, double click on the queue (TPAW-03), then click the preferences button.   You should get the following:

On the top right, click on the Paper and make sure it is set to “Plain,” then click OK.

Next you want to click on the “Advanced Tab”.   When that opens up, click on the Printing Deaults… button.

You need to make the change there as well.

This resolved the issue.
