Fixing Adobe as Default–Again if needed.

We are not sure what is causing this issue, but sometimes a browser such as Chrome or Edge will take over and become to default reader for Adobe files.   This is not helpful for many reasons for our school district.   The following will explain how to fix this issue.

Here is what you will see:

I have circled the issue.   Notice the icon is the Chrome Icon and not Adobe Reader icon.

problem

  1. Right Click on document
  2. Left Click Open With –> Choose Another App
  3. Select the Adobe PDF Reader
  4. CHECK – Always use this app to open .pdf files
