About This Lecture

A computer technician, in most cases, will work in the field alone. They will be responsible to complete a job or solve a problem while representing the company that they work for, so it is important that a technician possesses certain characteristic traits. It is important to understand each of these traits in detail.

This lecture will discuss the 10 traits of a great technician. Throughout this course we will be examining each one of these items in more detail, but for now, we will just cover the information broadly.

  2. Is always accountable, responsible, and self-motivated.
  3. Can handle multiple tasks and schedule their time accordingly.
  4. Has respect for everyone and is always professional.
  5. Is a life-long learner and is always researching new and existing technologies.
  6. Knows their limitations and how to find help if needed.
  7. Posses great organization, documentation, and planning skills.
  8. Conducts themselves in an ethical manner.
  9. Can think through problems logically.
  10. Posses high quality people and communication skills (both verbal. and written).
